Kayla Griffin, started her dance career off in the 9th grade while attending Eisenhower High School in Houston Texas. Although, she never trained in dance she was a fast learner. After graduating, she continued her education by enrolling in one of the most profound historically Black universities,Southern University Agriculture & Mechanical College, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As her love for dance grew, instructors began to take notice of her leadership abilities and potential as a dancer. In August of 2009, she became captain of the "Gold N Bluez" dance team.
